MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

We had so much fun in the owl room. We played, played and played. We wrote with markers and then we discovered if you write on the easel with a marker we can then wipe it off with a wipe. My sweet owls had fun cleaning up. We played with the ribbon and reindeer and my nativity ducks. We again played with the tape. We rolled bells in paint and watched it make a picture. While we painted we sang Jingle Bells again and again. In Chapel we talked about the greatest gift at Christmas, Jesus. We then made a rice baby. We played outside and PARTIED!!

Thanks so much for sharing your sweet babies with me. I have enjoyed them so much and I look forward to a wonderful second half of the year.

Thank you so much for all the wonderful treats and the gift cards. I can't wait to go shopping (after the christmas crazies).

Have a blessed Christmas and a wonderful break!!

With love,
Ms Tracee

Merry Christmas sweet owls,

We are had a wonderful Christmas week in the Owl class. In our class we had ribbons we can cut. We painted a Christmas tree, wrote with markers and decorated our own Christmas tree. We ripped tape and made tape balls and then threw the tape balls. This activity touches on lots of language. Pull, red, green, sticky, help. It is also a motor activity with the pulling, and the wadding of the tape and then the throwing. We had fun doing this.
Outside Ms. Pat has more Christmas things to cut and paint. We even have a sleigh to ride in, complete with bells and a horse.
We experienced the camel, donkey and sheep. Many of my friends watched from a far but it is exposure at this age. They will all be standing in line with big smiles on their faces in a few years and will ride the camel.
This week we are having our Happy Birthday Jesus Party. I look forward to that. We will go to a special chapel and then share a cake after chapel. As always you are welcome to attend but I know this is your last three hours before Christmas you might need the time.
Check out the photos!!

Have a wonderful week.
With love,
Ms. Tracee

Happy Thanksgiving,

We will be celebrating Thanksgiving this week with the big picnic. The Big Picnic will start at 11:00 on all three days this week. We will be having fish sticks, bread and goldfish. As always you are welcome to come. We will watch a puppet show, sing and dance and eat our fish sticks on the side yard. Please bring a scarf or bandanna to wear on our heads like Jesus wore. (some do not keep it on, but I will try)

Last week we had an awesome week. I think we are finally all settled in and enjoying school. We scooped the squirrels and turkeys and worked on sorting the squirrels and turkeys into different bowls. I am so proud of my smart owls. We wrote with chalk at the easel and worked on our fine motor skills by sticking feathers in a colander. We read books and sang the turkey song. Gobble Gobble.
We played with Ms. Betty, she opened up her tunnel. We had so much fun crawling through the tunnel and playing with her little soccer balls.
We went to chapel and walked like Jesus. Everyone has been asking who SCRAPPY and SCRUFFY are. Ms. Melinda has two dog puppets that introduce the bible stories. The kids love them. We get to pet the puppets before the story starts.

We had an awesome week and there are new pictures.

With Love,
Ms. Tracee

Happy Monday sweet owls,

Time is flying, can't believe it is two weeks until Thanksgiving. Time to start shopping.
We had so much fun last week getting our picture taken. All of my friends did great. You will be amazed at what they get your little ones to do.
In our classroom we painted, scooped the beans and of course sang spider on my head, we put together puzzles, and read books. We also played outside in the cool air. It was so much fun.
In chapel we read about David and Goliath and threw the "rocks" at Goliath. We sang and danced and got the very important stamp.

I look forward to this week we will be playing with Mr. Turkey and talking about all things fall.

(I did not post new pictures because it takes a while to get our pictures made and I did not think we needed pictures of owls getting their picture made, so I took a week off)

Ms. Tracee

We had a spooky good time last week in the owl room. We sang "spider on my head" and laughed and laughed. They are really getting into this. We take turns wearing the spider and singing. SO FUN. We also scooped the black beans, and bounced the pumpkin ping pong balls. We played with Ms. Betty. We had fun kicking the balls, playing in the leaves and exploring the parachute. In chapel we read a book about letting our light shine (written by our own Ms. Rita). We also danced in the dark to Little Light of Mine with Glow sticks. This was a fun and new experience for some. We then got to go to the Fall festival where we picked apples, rode in a wagon, racked the leaves, worked on a tee pee, and played with the corn and watched in go through shoots. We also stacked the Hay. We had a great time. As always we played outside with Ms. Pat. She always has fun things for us to paint.

Hope you are enjoying a little Owl like weather. WE HAD AN AWESOME WEEK in the OWL ROOM. YEAH!! All of my friends had a great day. We are really getting into the groove of ELP. We had so much fun touching the flubber and scooping the oatmeal that the spiders live in. We all painted with a bath sponge to make spiders. We sang Itsy Bitsy Spider and put the spider on our head, hand, knee, foot. Oh My!! We saw the animals and wore our funny shoes. We should have animals every week, all my friends loved them. We went to chapel and feed the Lions. We also went to motor movement and played with Ms. Betty.

I am so proud of my sweet babies. They are all adjusting well and doing it without Mom and that is a big accomplishment for little guys. Thank you for trusting me enough to let me spend time with your kids. Have a great weekend.

Happy Friday my sweet Owls,

I had very few sad friends this week and my sad friends all had fun at some point. Everyone of my Owls is settling in and enjoying school. This is my main goal this time of the school year. I want each child to want to come to school or at least tolerate the idea. I promise each of you that once they settle in and start to explore all my sweet owls have fun and there is always loving arms to hold someone. We had some much fun playing with the pumpkins and feeling the different textures and talking about the sizes. We rolled the pumpkins down the slide. Some of my friends painted a pumpkin orange. (rest assure if your little one is not into the art in class they will get it, I don't want to force the issue) We read Brown Bear and played in the oatmeal. We played our instruments and sang songs.
Outside we played in the water and painted and of course we watched for the big trucks. SO FUN!!
Yeah everyone went to Chapel this week where we threw bean bags at and idol and talked about how we only love our one true God.

Next week is the petting zoo.
Parents are always welcome to attend the special events. Just remember that sometimes coming can upset your little one. It forces them to have to separate twice. I will take pictures, and you can enjoy your three hours.

Have a wonderful weekend~ We will be exploring farm animals next week.

With Love

Hoot Hoot Sweet Owls,

We had another awesome week in the owl room. We washed the babies, finger painted a paper mirror, played musical instruments and danced with streamers. My Tuesday owls got to take a ride in the big stroller and look at the fish. We colored with markers and started to explore with stickers. (great for fine motor) We enjoyed signing and dancing.
In chapel we learned how to talk to God and sang a new song and the best part of chapel we got a stamp. I think it was the first for some, their expressions are priceless as they try to figure out what it is.
Outside we blew bubbles, danced in the bubbles and tried to pop them. We played with play dough and explored the purple sand with gems in it. What a busy day we had at ELP.

I look forward to next week we will be exploring BEARS!!!

ELP Toddler Owls

Hello My Sweet Owls,

I loved, loved, loved getting to know you all this week. Most of my new friends came in and enjoyed the classroom. I am so excited to explore our room and even the outdoors next week. Remember we only get to play for a little while next week, but we will be ready for a full day the following week. Please wear your play clothes, I know we will get wet and messy. Remember a change of clothes so I can clean your little one up at the end of the day.
Remember less is more when dropping off. Calming words and excitement for a great day. My goal is to make everyone happy and then we can play and learn at school.
I have a few pictures from this week. Please check them out. I will send new pictures weekly in order for you to see what happens at school.

Looking forward to next week. We will be talking about ME AND FAMILY.

Have a wonderful weekend!!

With Love,
Ms. Tracee
